Who doesn’t wanna stay in a treehouse in a giant

Who doesn’t wanna stay in a treehouse in a giant banyan tree on a private beach. I swear Vanuatu has the most amount of treehouses. @vanuatuislands

We gathered fruit and tanned in the middle of the road while waiting for the next car. It wasn’t that hitch hiking wasn’t welcome, it’s just that it was a bit more spread out between cars… 2 hours. We decided to walk BUT if it wasn’t for walking, we wouldn’t have stubbles across this hidden waterhole. While I won’t say the name of this absolute treat but a clue it’s on Santo and not the famous blue holes. @vanuatuislands

@vanuatuislands isn’t always the first place that comes to mind for the ‘classic’ go-to pacific islands but for that reason it’s the best, you don’t have to go far to get the white beaches, so much untouched and honest culture. It’s still laid back island time, palm trees and the fruit is plenty but you get breathing space and proper adventure. That and easily some of best coral reefs you can find

Unreal to see direct flights have been announced Auckland to Santo island in @vanuatuislands with Solomon Airlines. Makes it heaps easier getting there without stop overs. So eager to get back there and visit some of the hidden gems again.

Top tips about bikepacking Sri Lanka:  - Always

Top tips about bikepacking Sri Lanka:
 - Always have bananas on you incase you need to pay the Elephant Toll and get away.

- If you’ve eaten your bananas wait for a truck to hide behind.

- If no trucks come, send your partner first so you can escape
 - Expect rice and curry for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you go off the beaten track.
 - Every supermarket visit is mandatory to buy at least 5 ice creams to cool down. Last resort sit/sleep on the ground in front of the shops aircon.
 - If you don’t have a good spice tolerance, you will soon.

- Take a roll of toilet paper for when the back end explosion happens when you don’t expect it.

- Don’t count on parts for bikes over there. It’s only in the capital.

- Try some hoppers, they’re gluten free.
 - Get a haircut from the local barber. It’ll only be a $1 but the final result is worth it… when they don’t speak English 😂😂. 
Don’t take these seriously. Enjoy Sri Lanka.
